The Firming Renewal Booster is a professional backbar treatment enhancer
formulated with retinol, niacinamide, and a ceramide complex. Retinol
accelerates cellular turnover and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis.
Niacinamide regulates sebum, improves skin tone, and acts as a tolerance
buffer for retinol. The ceramide complex maintains barrier integrity during
active renewal. Applied at the serum step. Suitable for aging, mature, and
textured skin. For licensed estheticians only. Part of the ID Skin
Professional Booster System.

Apply 1–2 drops evenly to the treatment area after cleansing and exfoliation. Press gently into skin and allow to absorb fully. Follow with your core treatment serum, mask, moisturizer, and SPF. The booster enhances the treatment; it does not replace the serum step.

Retinol

Retinol remains the most clinically validated anti-aging active available outside a prescription — and for good reason. It binds to retinoic acid receptors in the dermis and directly stimulates fibroblast activity, accelerating the production of collagen and elastin while increasing the rate of keratinocyte turnover.

The result over a treatment series is measurable: fine lines soften, skin texture smooths, pore appearance reduces, and the overall quality of the skin improves at a structural level — not just cosmetically.

In a professional backbar context, retinol works harder because it's applied to skin that has already been prepped, cleansed, and exfoliated, maximizing absorption and efficacy with every single use.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

Niacinamide is one of the most versatile actives in professional skincare, and its role here is dual.

First, it acts as a tolerance-builder for the retinol — reducing the potential for sensitivity, redness, and irritation by strengthening the skin barrier and moderating the inflammatory response.

Second, it delivers its own independent clinical benefits: regulating sebum production, visibly minimizing pore size, improving uneven tone, and building epidermal resilience. It doesn't dilute the retinol. It makes it accessible to a broader range of skin types while adding its own layer of corrective activity.

Ceramide Complex

Ceramides are the mortar between the skin's cells — the lipid molecules that hold the barrier together and keep moisture from escaping.

When that barrier is compromised through over-exfoliation, environmental exposure, or chronic dehydration, transepidermal water loss accelerates and skin becomes reactive, tight, and dull regardless of how much hydration is applied on top.

The ceramide complex in this booster directly replenishes those intercellular lipids, rebuilding structural barrier integrity from within. It doesn't just moisturize — it restores the mechanism that keeps the skin moisturized.

Clients with sensitive, fragile, or chronically dehydrated skin feel the difference after the first treatment.
